Masterson Method® at the C-Horse Ranch Family Fun Day

Once again, we had a fabulous day of melting horses at the C-Horse Ranch Family Fun Day!
MMCPs and fieldwork students came together to give back to these hardworking therapy horses during the enjoyable community event. Over 100 people from the surrounding Auburn area came out to the ranch to enjoy face painting, pony rides, snow cones, and barbecue. This annual free event invites everyone to spend the day experiencing all the ranch offers. Visitors can cuddle sweet goats, tickle bunnies, gaze at turtles, and hang out with the snortiest pot-bellied pig you will ever meet.
Melting horses was our top agenda item, using the Masterson Method®, an ultra-gentle touch known as Light to The Core, which these horses have come to anticipate and appreciate. Although unforeseen circumstances placed the ranch matriarch in the hospital, the show must go on. Her family and dedicated ranch hands did an excellent job running the event, alongside numerous volunteers in purple C-Horse Ranch shirts.
My friends and I found a quiet retreat under the canopy of a round corral, where we could give the horses their Masterson Method® spa day following the horses’ shifts for pony rides.
Young children, accompanied by their curious parents, were intrigued by the sight of a favorite horse standing with its head hanging low and hind foot cocked, deeply relaxed. Their wide-eyed, inquisitive questions made me wonder if these kids might become future students of the Masterson Method®.
